Gates open at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and
the music goes till early Sunday morning.
We strongly suggest setting up on Friday morning and staying open 23 1/2.3765
hours a day once the gates open at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Staff will
be there starting Thursday evening if you would like to set up or prep your
site.
a) The Halloween Stomp is a rock music festival featuring 40+ bands
playing all weekend long on three separate stages. The event is rain or shine,
and all ages are welcome. Wilmer's Park is located in Brandywine, MD
and is not more than one hours drive from Northern Virginia, Annapolis, and
Baltimore. This venue is only fifteen minutes from the Washington D.C.
beltway (US route 95/495). Most attendees are from the Northern
Virginia/Maryland/DC area. However, there is a history of people coming
from as far north as New York, and as far south as Georgia. The venue
allows attendees to camp out overnight (Friday to Sunday morning) and vendors
often remain open most of the night.
b) Attendance at music events at this venue range from 1000 people
to over 8000. The Halloween Stomp's target audience is 12-29, and we
expect anywhere from one to three thousand people over the course of the
day, however the promotion we have generated could result in a much larger
crowd than anticipated.
c) Advertising for the event includes the following: WHFS and WRNR
radio (several hundred 60 second ads on each station). A full page
ad in Music Monthly, Pitch Magazine, the Baltimore and Washington City Papers,
and BarStool. 100,000 flyers distributed throughout (all throughout) Virginia,
Maryland, DC, New York, Pennsylvania, and the outskirts of surrounding states.
Also, each band will be distributing information and it is included
on at least twenty-five web sites currently.
d) The event itself will have 40 bands, three stages, overnight camping,
a Moonbounce, and more.
e) The current price for a vending spot is $150.00 - though once the
spots are almost filled, the rate will rise to $250.00. The dimensions
for the area are 10' by 10' or 12' by 12'. If you need special arrangements,
please let us know and we will be happy to work with you. We will do
our best not to have competing vendors, although large amounts of advance
ticket sales may alter the amount of vendors.
f) IMPORTANT - You must be self-sufficient and provide your own electric
power and lights. Many vendors bring their own power generator.
Vendors bring their own lanterns or electric lighting systems they
hook up to their generators so they can remain open all night.
g) The organizers of this event have had direct involvement with the
following festivals: WHFS'tival, Millennium Groove, Fado Festival, May Day
Jam, Funkalicious, The All Good Festival, The Autumn Equinox, Jerry Garcia's
Birthday Party, Back to School Boogie, Spring Thaw, Funkalicious, and more.
You have two of the best promoters in the business making this event
happen - Full Steam Ahead Productions and FunkStarr Entertainment.
h) The festival features the nationaly known band - Agents Of Good
Roots - as well as several bands like The Ordinary Way which are quickly
rising in stature locally. They have played with SEV, Jepetto, Blue
Miracle, Jay Jay, Carbon Leaf, David Nelson Band, The Next Step, Juggling
Suns, and more.
